Mutter Paneer (Cheesy Peas)

This is a delicious, mild curry from the North of India which is rich and spicy without too much heat. It is also a great dish to introduce curry to the kids!


1Heat the ghee in a deep frying pan, then saute the onion, garlic and tomato for 15 minutes, until it starts to turn golden.

2Next add the paneer, then the spices, and saute for 5 minutes.

3Add the peas and the cream, then cook on a medium heat till the sauce thickens.

4This goes perfectly with some naan bread to mop up the sauce.


250g paneer, diced

250g frozen peas

1 medium onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, finely chopped

4 tomatoes, finely chopped

2tsp Tikka spice

2tsp Korma spice

200ml single cream

1tbs ghee

Chopped fresh green chilli to garnish.
