About this product
One of the rarest and most precious salts in the world, Persian Blue is formed from a single seam running through an ancient salt lake bed in Iran. Its distinctive colour comes from traces of sylvin, a natural mineral created by tectonic plate movement millions of years ago.
The crystals are naturally speckled — some batches display vivid blue flecks, while others are paler, with only subtle hints of blue. This variation is completely natural and depends on where in the seam the salt is harvested. Even when the blue colour is faint, the same minerals are always present, and the flavour remains unchanged.
On the palate, Persian Blue delivers a strong initial saltiness that mellows into a subtle, lingering aftertaste. Its unique appearance makes it a striking addition to the dining table, though the colour softens when the salt is grated very finely. Try sprinkling over grilled vegetables, seafood, or even use it to rim a Margarita glass for a touch of intrigue. Persian Blue is a salt for those moments when only something truly rare and luxurious will do.
Each batch is unique: some crystals show vivid blue flecks, others only subtle hints — all carry the same mineral richness
