Dragonfruit Powder

New to our range of freeze-dried 100% fruit powders is dragon fruit. The exotic dragon fruit (also known as pitaya) has become more and more popular over the last few years, with its bold, bright magenta colour and its sweet, slightly sharp flavour reminiscent of kiwi fruit or pear, and the freeze drying process used to make this powder retains all of both. Dragon fruit powder can be used for boosting juices and smoothies, and its vibrant colour also works wonderfully in baking and caking. It is fantastic for desserts, for example to make a deliciously different panacotta. It makes a great ice cream or milkshake too, which the kids will love. And it’s also great in fruit punches or cocktails, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. It makes a wonderful refreshing sorbet, and another good idea is to make colourful ice cubes for your cool drinks.
