COCOA NIBS
These little chunks of pure chocolate goodness are peeled, crumbled cacao beans, 100% pure with no additives of any kind. They are a versatile addition to the pantry, with a multitude of uses. First, they can simply be added to muesli, granola or cereal for a pure chocolate punch. They can be added to brownies and other cakes, or used in hot chocolate. And they are perfect for using in savoury cookery – chocolate originates from Latin America, and many recipes from that area use it. Probably the best known recipe is Mole Poblano, a chilli and chocolate sauce from Mexico, for which these nibs are absolutely perfect.
Pure cacao is also very healthy, packed full of antoxidants, vitamins, minerals and fibre. So with these nibs chocolate need no longer be a guilty pleasure!
