There is nothing quite like the unique flavour of mulberries; intensely sweet but with a slightly sour edge, and this mulberry syrup delivers it in spades. In Lebanon, where our mulberry syrup is produced by the artisan business Mymoune, it is used in a classic alternative to fruit cordial, diluted in water to make a refreshing drink. It can also be used in cocktails, as an interesting alternative to grenadine. If you are making a blackberry or raspberry compote, a dash of mulberry syrup will lift the flavour. And it is also lovely just by itself, drizzled over ice cream, sorbet or pancakes. Finally mulberry syrup makes a great milkshake, and is also great added to fruit smoothies.
