Shichimi Togarashi (Japanese)

A popular table condiment in Japan, used in much the same way as salt & pepper is used in the UK.  This 7 spice seasoning consists of white and black sesame seeds, sancho pepper, orange peel, chillies, seaweed and ginger.  A delicious blend providing distinct flavours, fairly hot but refreshing due to the addition of orange peel.  It is used to spice up noodles (udon, ramen, soba), soups, fish, prawns, sushi or simply to sprinkle on salads or rice.  If you love Japanese food give this one a try.
