This very popular garden herb is characterised by its fresh onion flavour, and it is commonly used in many dishes. Delicious added to white sauce for fish, or simply as a garnish, it is also a very common ingredient in potato salad, with eggs or tomato based dishes,  and as a part of many herb blends. It is not at its best when cooked for very long as the flavour can become bitter. We recommend adding this herb at the end of the cooking process, or simply sprinkle over your dish when served.
